Try this:What object ids (OIDS) does the Orion platform poll for software version & software image from device
To display Software Version and Software Image in the Node Details resource in the Orion Web Console, the device must support the
184.108.40.206.220.127.116.11, and provide the information.
Node Details for a Cisco Node
Node Details for a Windows node
See Management Information Base (MIB) for information about MIBs and OIDs.
- NPM 11 and above
- Open the walk and search for the OID. This OID is usually the first one on the top of the file.
The following examples show what the information you find should look like: For Cisco Node
.18.104.22.168.22.214.171.124.0 = STRING: "Cisco Internetwork Operating System Software
IOS (tm) C2600 Software (C2600-I-M), Version 12.0(9), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1) Copyright (c) 1986-2000 by cisco Systems, Inc.For Windows Node
.126.96.36.199.188.8.131.52.0 = STRING: "Hardware: Intel64 Family 6 Model 58 Stepping 9 AT/AT COMPATIBLE - Software: Windows Version 6.1 (Build 7600 Multiprocessor Free)"
- If you do not find the OID and information in the walk, create a custom poller with the Device Studio.
- Click Create New Poller, and select Node Details in Technology.
- Provide the OIDs, and complete the wizard.
The information about software polled using the Device Studio poller will be included in the Node Details resource.
See Manage pollers with Device Studio for information about custom pollers.
I tried this option but was not working and i am saying it for Juniper and 3Com devices which are not populating the information.
Will there be any requirement to add MIB of those devices to the MIB database to have it worked.
If so any updated MIB files will help to get those informations
for each vendor devices created new poller to populate the device information with the help of individual MIB value.
Thanks for your support
