Monitoring for WSDL Availability - SOAP Monitor vs HTTPS

    pnguyen@sgintl.com

If my goal is to monitor a WSDL URL and make sure that the content (XML file) loads, would it be better to use the SAM SOAP monitor or HTTPS monitor component? If the web page loads, I assume the content should also load, but that's not always the case.

On the SOAP monitor there's a "load from WSDL" option, and then there's additional options like binding, service name, method name, arguments, etc. There's also the "manually enter SOAP XML request", where I can post the entirety of the XML's content, but I'm not when I do that the XML content is actually being checked for.
