Asset Discovery Details

When asset discovery is run in Web Help Desk using either NCM, NPM, or SAM, is the discovery actually going out and pulling from actual endpoints, or is it just pulling information from the database that has been compiled by any of those methods?

Our network engineer has confirmed that running discovery in Web Help Desk will pull from multiple locations and that we will need to tweak our Orion configuration.
