How can I just monitor one subnet and alert a new MAC appears on this subnet

Hi, our network has 20 more subnets. It's difficulty for me to input all safe MACs on all subnets to a white list at one time.

Can I just monitor one subnet, input the safe MACs just on this subnet to a white list, then build an alert "Alert me when a new MAC address appears on network"?

I worry that could cause a big problem: I will receive thousands of alert emails, because entire network has thousands of MACs I just input hundreds of them into the white list.

Is there any way to avoid this problem?
