What does the "Import Ports" check box do in Network Sonar Discovery?

I seem to have very different results when I check, or uncheck, "Import Ports" when configuring a Network Sonar Discovery--particularly for ports that should be monitored with UDT.

What should I expect for results when this box is checked, or unchecked?

Depends on what filters you have applied in your interfaces.

Please elaborate on this, James. What examples of interface filters can you provide that will help me understand this?

Well it looks like you have it set to auto import the ports but what i cant see is what filters you have applied against you interface\ports in the automation process. Thats the reason for my statement, in other words not enough information.
