    FAQ Placement in Client View


      Hello.  Is there a way to change where the FAQ island in the Client View appears?  Right now, if an employee is using a wide monitor, the FAQ box is located to the very right of the screen, with a large gap between the Request Type dropdown and the FAQ box.  It does not catch the user's attention and gets overlooked.  I am trying to make the font size of the FAQ's larger to see if that catches any attention, but the location of the FAQ box would be extremely helpful if it was located closer to the request type dropdown when an employee opens a ticket.  Thank you!

          Currently, there are no options in Web Help Desk to modify the colors or relative position for the FAQ menu on the Request page.

          FAQ menu

          Client UI > Request page > FAQ menu

          However, the changes you requested can be made with custom development of the Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).


          The elements on the page are controlled by CSS selectors and can be overridden.

          The position could be changed relative to the margin.

          The color of the table row (class: shaded) could be changed from gray to medium green (#3CB371), sea green (#20B2AA), or even orange (#F89D1C).

            If you are up for editing the css code on the server


            C:\Program Files\WebHelpDesk\bin\webapps\helpdesk\css\clientStylesEnhancedByColorLabels.css


            This will stop the FAQ question from being wrapped and move the box slightly to the left.
