DPA API

I am looking for a DPA API. I have seen references that SolarWinds is working on a configuration API, but little more. I found one references that says "Currently, there is no API for DPA", but it has no date. Obviously it would be nice to have a configuration API, but even a read-only API to query information would be a happy thing.Is there such a thing?

What would you want to do with the API that is not covered in this Feature Request ?
