    NCM adding to our enviorment

So kind of curious, we currently have two separate instances in our environment, one in our North Region and one in our South Region originally we did this design due to overlapping of subnets, we are now wanting to add NCM to our environment, IP spaces no longer overlap so was hoping NCM could be installed on a separate server and would it need its on SQL Database or would it need to talk to the two databases in both regions?  Ideally trying to avoid having to pay for a NCM license for two separate instances.
