Unable to add Windows Node to Solarwinds Orion

Hi Experts,

I am performing a SolarWinds upliftment. I added many servers using the same service account on the SolarWinds console. However, i am not able to add one windows host. All the servers are part of Domain Environment.

I am not sure what i am missing. I am using ICMP & WMI and when I do a test it fails.

What version of Windows is it running? When you say host that suggests it might be a vmware host, that means WMI won't do and SNMP is the way forward. I would consider installing the agent if you cannot get WMI working on a Windows server, its the easiest way. Check ports are open for WMI to that server and local firewall is configured correctly.

It may be a simple permissions issue. Does the server account that you are using have permission to the server you are attempting to add to SolarWinds?
