IPAM Account Question

We are trying to add a DHCP server to IPAM console. We are trying to use an account that has domain admin rights on the server but it does not work. I found this article that says we need to create a local account on the server. Is this what has to be done to add the DHCP server to IPAM? Thanks!

Is that the exact error your getting? What version is your AD Server? What version is your DHCP Server?

DHCP Server is setup in a failover cluster with a 50-50 load balance between each site. Can we monitor a DHCP cluster at all?

No, I don't think IPAM supports DHCP Failover sadly. Here is an open feature request that you could support with an Upvote.

Although I've just had a double take as it says it's now implemented and it appears that the latest release (4.6) does support it:
This version of IPAM also fully supports the DHCP failover feature set implemented in Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2016

So I am trying to find the configuration instructions for IPAM I can find how to install it and requirements but what I am looking for is how to configure when adding DHCP servers to IPAM. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great. thanks.

That was part of my problem I could not find the instructions on setting up the actual connection. Now I have those and can give it a try.
I also did respond back asking if it was or was not supported. I am not too confident that I will get a resolution it took almost a day for someone to actually pick up the ticket at Solarwinds and get back to me. Hence I love THWACK.
