How Does EOS work for Solarwinds?

I have a Cisco Switch showing up as 38xx stack and in EOS the part number shows under "Part Number" for a 3800 switch.  This makes sense since my switch is a 3800 series switch but the replacement part is showing up as a part for a 3700 series switch.  What's up with that?  When I drill down into the switch there is an "external link" I can click on and Solarwinds sends me to the Cisco site showing me the End-of-Life for 3700 series Cisco Switches.  Why doesn't it take me to the End-of-Life page for the 3800 Cisco Switches?  Please advise since this is confusing.
