I can not identify why blocks crashed prod mssql server Solarwind Ignite.

how to identify root\caused of sql block issue?  We have very active 8 to 5 mssql server.   It is a very stable sql2008 r2 server\windows2008.   Everything comes and goes via from the front application.  There are No reports run, no adhoc quires no external programmer\user access.   We had sudden crash last week.  in 2 days and a row  the sql server had 500 + blocks due to this the sql server stopped working.  Any given time you will see 4 or 5 blocks otherwise.  I am looking solar wind can identify the issue but cannot find the cause.   SQL server on a VM.  VM and windows teams do not see any activity that may cause the problem.  I cannot go anything further than this. Let me know if you have any advice... Bahri
