SNMP Timeout during MIB walk

Hi, has anyone encountered an SNMP timeout during a MIB walk and if so how could you extend the SNMP timeout period to prevent this from happening, I am trying to find a certain OID and reckon it's further down the walk but my walk is dying before it gets there...
