Re: IPAM Scan jobs stuck?
wfordham Nov 21, 2017 4:55 PM (in response to josh.haberman)Since I noticed your question, I decided to check on my scan jobs. Looks like mine are stuck too. I'm also running 4.6 RC2. I tried to do a manual scan and got this error:
AJAX COMMAND FAILED
'Scan Network' failed to retrieve a response from the server.
Reason: SolarWinds.IPAM.Contract.Service.IIpamGroupNodeProxy.Scan failed, check fault information.
I have case # 1347685 open for another issue, but this may be related. I'll be sure to point it out since I have a webex scheduled tomorrow morning.

Re: IPAM Scan jobs stuck?
wfordham Nov 22, 2017 11:46 AM (in response to josh.haberman)They found that there was no polling engine defined for the scopes that were throwing that error. The developer mumbled something about known issue - next patch. There is a manual fix. Click on the subnet then click on edit. Scroll down to Automatic scanning and click on change polling engine.
And just so that you don't have to click on edit for every scope, I found that you can add a column to show the polling engine. From there, it was easy to see what subnets have a polling engine and which ones do not.

josh.haberman Dec 7, 2017 11:03 AM (in response to josh.haberman)So, even after upgrading to GA I'm still seeing this issue. I'm not having much luck with support. Got a speech about how using RC versions in a production environment is a bad idea (really!?!).
My case # is 1361094. I had this case opened on November 17th and haven't made any progress since then.

I'm on it! Looks like your case was transferred to my favorite rep today. I'll talk to him and get back to you. Most likely, I'll recommend a WebEx with my team.
