Monitor One Node from Two SolarWinds Instances

Hello Everyone,

I'm just starting to look at an environment where about 70 nodes are monitored by both the production installation of SolarWinds as well as a separate independent lab installation. Suddenly it occurs to me that this might create conflicts, e.g. can the agent report to two SolarWinds servers? Your thoughts will be very much appreciated.

Hello, When using the same polling method, the Node can be monitored from separate instances only when using WMI or SNMP. Using the agent will only allow it to be monitored from 1 instance. It could be…

When using the same polling method, the Node can be monitored from separate instances only when using WMI or SNMP.
Using the agent will only allow it to be monitored from 1 instance.
It could be possible to monitor the same node from another instance if using a different polling method e.,g 1 x Agent + 1 x SNMP/WMI
