NetFlow Storage DB Size Vs Orion DB Size relationship?

Grus!!!

Is there any impact on the performance of the DB given our NetFlow storage DB size is big and outside the Orion DB, I understand there are references in place for the NetFlow DB tables in Main DB. But my real question is the size of the NetFlow Storage DB really matters when it comes to performance?
