NCM Search for 'missing' lines in config

Good morning,

I'm looking to see if there is a way to search running/startup configs in NCM for 'missing' items. For example, if I have an snmp community string configured on all devices, and want to search all configs where that snmp string is missing, can this be done?

Almost like having a check box for "Not" included in the config.

Trying to convince my mgmt we can move away from NetMRI to NCM. This is a feature that the engineers don't wanna let go. If I can find a way to do it with NCM, I can push for the migration.

Sure NCM Can do that ..
1.run show command from NCM job and get a list of nodes..
2.Use the compliance report on SNMP string
There fine example of both in thwack

This seem to be exactly what the compliance policies can do. They can verify that a config is present or that is isn't there and much more advanced logic. If you have a specific use case let me know and I should be able to figure out how to get it done (and if not me there are many more minds on thwack smarter than I am).

jkrenzien sja - Thank you both for your suggestion on using the compliance policy. I never even thought about utilizing that functionality.
Basically, I would like to 'search' multiple configuration files (backed up via NCM) for a specific SNMP string, and report back the configs that do NOT have that sting included.
