Send Email x number of times in Alert Trigger Action

In an alert Trigger Action, we can configure a Send Email action so that, it repeats every x minutes till the alert is acknowledged. Instead of repeating every x minutes, is it possible to simply repeat x times until it is acknowledged and then perform another action if it is not acknowledged even after x number of times?
