Re: Node Issues
alphabits Jun 30, 2017 12:54 PM (in response to danajr12)I think you may have posted this in the wrong area. From what it looks like to me you should be using groups.
A "node" in Solarwinds is not a group of objects, but a single device.

danajr12 Jun 30, 2017 3:00 PM (in response to alphabits)I think I did also. I'm new to solarwinds so i'm trying to figure out things as I go. I understand what you are saying. What I was trying to do is when I click on the state of North Carolina i'm trying to have all the devices show up.

Re: Node Issues
nudealz Aug 1, 2017 1:03 PM (in response to danajr12)How are you actually adding the device under the node? And when you're referencing a "node" you should look at is as a "group". A node is an actual "device".
When you say you're hovering over the "node" where are you hovering over it? Is it on a map or in a List? Would you mind sending a screen shot so I have a better idea of what you're referring to?
- If you're adding a device in a group go to Settings>All Settings>Manage Groups>Select the group you want to add the device to. It sounds like you've already created two groups (Virgina and North Carolina). Add the device/node into its respective group.
- When ever making changes on your Atlas Maps make sure to save your work by click on the Disk icon on the top left-hand corner.
