    TFT Server Service not Start 10.9.1.33

    dende

      The TFTP service in 10.9.1 refuse to start on Windows Server 2016...

      Der Dienst kann nicht gestartet werden. System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: Normalerweise darf jede Socketadresse (Protokoll, Netzwerkadresse oder Anschluss) nur jeweils einmal verwendet werden

         bei System.Net.Sockets.Socket.DoBind(EndPoint endPointSnapshot, SocketAddress socketAddress)

         bei System.Net.Sockets.Socket.Bind(EndPoint localEP)

         bei System.Net.Sockets.TcpListener.Start(Int32 backlog)

         bei System.Net.Sockets.TcpListener.Start()

         bei System.Runtime.Remoting.Channels.ExclusiveTcpListener.Start(Boolean exclusiveAddressUse)

         bei System.Runtime.Remoting.Channels.Tcp.TcpServerChannel.StartListening(Object data)

         bei System.Runtime.Remoting.Channels.Tcp.TcpServerChannel.SetupChannel()

         bei System.Runtime.Remoting.Channels.Tcp.TcpServerChannel..ctor(Int32 port)

         bei TFTPServer.Service.TFTPServer..ctor()

         bei TFTPServer.Service.TFTPServer.get_Current()

         bei TFTPServer.Service.TFTPService.OnStop()

         bei System.ServiceProcess.ServiceBase.DeferredStop()

         bei System.ServiceProcess.ServiceBase.Stop()

      The Service Start and Stop immediatly. There is no other application running on this Server!?

          The workaround from Jan Manek, I have tried but it don't works! I don't know what the root permission to do with the service!?

          Hi,

          we've identified the issue in TFTP server shipped with Toolset 10.9.1. It'll be fixed in future releases.

          For now you can use this workaround:

          Create a local group named "Everyone" manually and add as members all the users you want to work with TFTP Server. This group is then used for accessing TFTP Rootdir (by default "C:\TFTP-Root") - all the group members will have full permissions to that directory.

          Another workaround is to use TFTP Server from 10.9.0.

          We're sorry for this inconvenience.

          Jan Manek

            Version 10.9 series is quite old and does not have the fixes and framework upgrade versions of late. Could you try with a recent version and confirm, say v11.0.3, etc.?
