      My company, AQIWO, is a Native American owned and managed professional services firm headquartered in Northern Virginia. At AQIWO, we have a long history of supporting the US Department of Labor (DOL).


      We are seeing an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of network monitoring systems such as HP Open View, BMC Atrium, and SolarWinds on site at DOL in Washington, DC. Qualified candidates are expected to hold a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred), at least eight years of PM experience on similar projects, and specific experience with similar systems (SolarWinds experience strongly preferred).

      Detailed Responsibilities:

      • Develop and maintain required Investment Management document (if required)
      • Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
      • Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities
      • Develop and maintain a master and individual resource plan for projects
      • Track and report Level of Effort (LoE) hours on a weekly basis
      • Baseline all projects and capture actual metrics for historical metrics and LoE forecasting
      • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
      • Review deliverables prepared by team before providing to management and customers
      • Effectively apply the PMI methodology and enforce project standards on all projects
      • Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
      • Minimize risk exposure on projects
      • Communicate relevant project information to management, stakeholders, and customers.
      • Resolve and/or escalate issues within a reasonable amount of time taking in consideration impact on the project
      • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
      • Track and maintain lessons learned and utilize lessons learned on subsequent projects
      • Ensure all projects are properly closed out
      • Motivate teams to work together in the most efficient manner


      The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience:

      • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree
      • Master’s Degree is preferred
      • At least eight (8) years of Project Management experience required

      • Hands on experience implementing network monitoring solutions in a large enterprise computing environment
      • At least two (2) years of experience managing network monitoring projects required
      • Monitoring and Control
      • Windows Server 2003 and 2008
      • Microsoft Active Directory 2008
      • COOP and Disaster Recovery
      • Backup and Recovery Strategy
      • Knowledge of ITIL, SDLC, PMBOK, Configuration Management, Release Management, and Change Management
      • Solid experience applying earned value management practices and the ability to utilize outputs to maintain performance within triple-constraints (cost, schedule, quality)
      • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Visio), and Expert level experience with MS Project
      • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft SharePoint
      • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
      • Effectively applies OASAM-ITC policies and procedures, and PMBOK project methodologies
      • Work in accordance with and help to enforce OASAM- ITC standard policies and procedures
      • Ability to build a knowledge base by projects and work streams
      • Consistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions


      Physical Requirements:

      • Work is performed in a general office environment
      • Ability to sit for up to 80% of time

      • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Security Clearance
