Scalability Installer & HotFixes

I was just wondering the same thing this morning...my initial thought is no...but I have not upgraded yet

Great question! In the past I was told (from support) that the download included all hotfixes as of the time of download. So, if HF2 was available and you just downloaded today, it included HF2. I'm not sure if that's still the case though.

Yes, the Scalability Engines Installer which is used to deploy new High Availability Backups, Additional Polling Engines, and Additional Web Server, as well as update those scalability engines, will also install hotfixes to those servers if they're already applied to the Main/Primary Orion server.

I noticed when I ran the scailability installer, the hotfixes did not show up under installed hotfixes.   Do the hotfixes get applied, but not "installed" via an installer?

There was an issue with Core 2017.1 Hotfix 1 which did not properly update the manifest that is used by the Scalability Engines Installer to determine what needs to be installed or upgraded. This was subsequently fixed for hotfixes released thereafter.

aLTeReGo​ is what deverts​ true?

It seems not because I just did an upgrade to 12.1 and after it said the core was 2017.1, but after the hotfix2 install it said rion Platform 2017.1.2 SP2

I installed HF2 and it doesnt work.

Opened a ticket (Case #1173783 ) and support said it will not work
