    Alert Central - Sending old emails

      Our alert central test environment was hung for a while.  After restarting alert central tons of old emails was sent and we had to shutdown alert central in order to quickly stop old e-mail from being sent.

       

      Anyone know how to clear out alert central email queue?

       

      Any help would be greatly appreciated

          There's a couple of ways you could to it. The first way and probably the best is to connect to the Alert Central email account (Exchange, Gmail, whatever) with an email client and just delete all the the old messages in the Alert Central mailbox. Then start up Alert Central again, everything should be good. The other way would be to create a rule at the top of the rule list to trash everything; the problem with that method is that Alert Central would need to be up and running to do this, and meanwhile it's processing emails.
