How do I import syslog alert rules from previous Solarwinds Server

Hello all,

Is it possible to export my syslog rule alerts that I created from our old Solarwinds server to our new? The new instance is a fresh install with no DB migration. I know the syslog alerts are stored in SQL but I don't how to import them in.

BTW I'm not a SQL guy but I can follow step by step instructions

Old NPM v10.5

New NPM v12.1

Does this help : Migrate the SolarWinds Orion SQL database to a new server .
In general you want to migrate the database so should not be a problem I think.
But have not tried my self.

chilly4u is your old app server still online? I believe that if you look at the syslog viewer application on the old server you might be able to export them from there and then import them to the new server
EDIT
I was able to get into my environment to double check and you should be able to export them from the old server

coha, I actually just want to export the rules as a backup. The last couple of times I've upgraded, rules went missing. It was bearable in pre-prod because we didn't have a lot. Now we do.
