I've been tasked with gathering data and opinions from all of our remote sites about current IP management tools and the possibility of implementing IPAM. One of the concerns that has been brought up is how the remote cites could maintain access to their IP address information if the network goes down. The only thing I've been able to come up with so far is each that site does an export of their group periodically. But it doesn't seem like I can set up an automatic export so it would have to be done manually, which isn't optimal. I've searched around for other solutions to this problem but haven't found anything.
Does anyone here have any other strategies for dealing with this concern?
We use a scheduled report that is included with IPAM. The report is "IPAM - All used IP addresses". You can configure the action to save it to a network share, email it, etc. You could also create a copy of the report and modify it for each location, but that could get tedious depending on how many locations you have. We do it mostly for a disaster recovery scenario, but I think it could work for your situation also.
