Linux QoE Agent

Are there currently any plans to implement a Linux-based packet analysis sensor?

We've just moved one of our applications from Windows to Linux, previously this was monitored using an agent.

Unfortunately, our entire server estate runs on VMs connected over port channels, so it's not (currently) that simple to set up a sensor for networks.

That is correct. The Linux agent is only for OS monitoring. It does not support the QoE function. That is an outstanding feature request

I believe there already is one. It requires root to deploy, though, so depending on your admins you *may* be hanged or crucified for trying to deploy it.

There is a Linux agent to monitor the server itself, but I couldn't find one that does QoE.

Still nothing, I found this feature request for it here, but it doesn't look like it has many upvotes.
