Parsing JSON

Hello Matthew, have you been able to resolve this? I'm trying to accomplish the same but haven't been able to find any proper documentation on how to do so. I tried WPM but couldn't get the data I needed, or at least how to point to a specific value on a JSON element.

None of the native tools in SAM have that feature at this time, seems like your best bet would be create a custom powershell monitor that pulls and parses the json

Mark, this information is terrific! i enjoy learning new powershell techniques and this definitely helps a lot. Now, does Solarwinds have the capabilities of using powershell scripts to create alerting. Or when you mention a "custom powershell monitor" you mean outside of solarwinds monitoring?

Yes, one of the built in SAM component monitor types you can create is o watch the results of custom powershell scripts, the last 3 links there outlines how that is all set up and the kinds of outputs it expects to get back.
