Hyper-V Pre & Post Windows Update Scripts

Hi all,

I've been give a couple of scripts to run pre & post windows updates on the hyper-v host, is possible to use patch manager to execute them?

Basically, the 1st script will get a list of the VM's running and the 2nd script will re-start the VM's from the list.

We want them to run before the Windows Updates reboots the server and after the server starts. Hope that makes sense.

No, there is not any functionality to run scripts before/after Windows updates.

You might see some reference to running scripts with 'packageboot' but that function only works for running scripts immediately before or after an individual 3rd party package update - not around a group of Windows updates, unfortunately.
