Tried to update but had to roll back

I tried Wednesday to upgrade the following and had to roll back as nothing was working... Is there a specific order to doing the upgrade?  Here are the version levels I am currently at and to the right is the new versions I would like to go to.

Orion Platform     2015.1.2

SAM                    6.2.1                    6.3.0

DPA                     9.2.0                    10.2.

QoE                     2.0

IPAM                    4.3                       4.3.2

NCM                    7.4                       7.5.1

NPM                    11.52                    12.0.1

NTA                     4.1.2                    4.2.1

WPM                    2.2.0                   2.2.1

IVM                      2.1.0

Something that I did wrong might have been starting with NPM and it said others needed to be updated first.  So then I tried WPM and that is when the issues started.  I got the downloads from the SolarWinds program via the update bar on top.

Plug in your product numbers and follow the steps.

[in my environment we only upgrade one product at a time, it makes troubleshooting issues easier]

it doesn't have DPA in there, but apart from that it looks like this:

Upgrade Network Performance Monitor from version 11.5.2 to version 12.0

Upgrade IP Address Manager from version 4.3.0 to version 4.3.2

Upgrade Network Configuration Manager from version 7.4.0 to version 7.5.0

Upgrade Web Performance Monitor from version 2.2.0 to version 2.2.1

Upgrade Network Performance Monitor from version 12.0 to version 12.0.1

Upgrade Server & Application Monitor from version 6.2.1 to version 6.3

Upgrade NetFlow Traffic Analyzer from version 4.1.2 to version 4.2.1

Upgrade Network Configuration Manager from version 7.5.0 to version 7.5.1

  • Well since we did not do the 11.5.3 NPM upgrade we had issues with the DataBase and had to engage Solarwinds for Several hours to get it to work.  But we are on the right patch now....
