Issues with LEM. Advice would be very much appreicated. (ASAP)

Hello.

So I haven't touched LEM for a while and was trying to add a node to do some more testing and for the love of me my manager name isn't working (please see attached) It works with the IP address, but not with the name of my LEM server. If I add the IP address it doesn't add the node (I am using the deployment tool, like I did before) to LEM. Which indicates that I need to add the hostname, which doesn't find it. I have pinged from and too the nodes that I want to add and they ping to my LEM server without incident. Is it because it's an evaluation and, because the evaluation has expired it doesn't add nodes anymore?

Am I missing something here?

Further on, I will explain what I wish to do. We have four terminal servers that sporadically crash and have to be drain stopped, then reboot and so forth. I want to monitor for a specific event ID log and then send an email when that happens. I am aware that transactions could logon to the server, check the screen and then report if it fails to do this, but I need to rebuild the transaction server before anything else is implemented. So I was hoping that LEM would provide me with the data that I require.
Any ideas?

Correct, if your eval has expired, you cannot add any more nodes. In fact, the LEM won't collect or store any new data after the eval expires.

Well, at this point, you have three options:
Get a license from Solarwinds
Contact Solarwinds sales and get an eval extension
Nuke your LEM and redeploy, which will restart the 30 day evaluation license
I get that it's inconvenient, but 30 days is a pretty long time to get to use something as powerful as LEM for free with no other restrictions. Did something prevent testing this use-case earlier in the eval?

So I built a LEM server a couple of months ago and because I has been busy with other things (Like a new solarwinds) it was left to simply be ignored. We haven't and I don't think we will be buying a licence for it because for one better of a word: my company is broke. But then we needed a feature of it as some of the terminal servers had started to fail.
It's me just being annoyed that I have to remove my LEM server and then deploy it again. Even though it only takes about an hour to setup.

If your goal is to send an email when a certain event is logged in Windows, you could do that a little differently. Read these:

Once you get it setup and working, you could possibly automate the resolution into the scheduled task as well, instead of just the email.
