Can I register a new database in DPA via an API?

I am trying to find a way to automate the monitoring of a database when it's created. I don't want people manually having to log into DPA to register the database.

No API that I am aware of, however this post from earlier in the year suggests SW are working on a scripted option. No timeframe for it, unfortunately. Re: Is it possible to script registering/unregistering…

No timeframe for it, unfortunately.
Re: Is it possible to script registering/unregistering a DB for monitoring and updating a DB instance name ?
