Has anybody got any thoughts on my question? Maybe its impossible to extract the information I need?
I've not looked at monitoring VPN connections for a while and you mention inbound specifically so I am not sure how much this will help.
But have a look at the following article:
If you want to have a look at active connections on the ASA you may find the Cisco ASA 9.6 VPN Poller to be more helpful.
This can be found in you Solarwinds Web console and going to -> Settings -> Manage Pollers -> Thwack Community pollers -> Search on ASA
You should then see:
Then tick the Cisco ASA 9.6 VPN Poller, click test Device poller and sign into the thwack login prompt, then select an ASA to test against.
If it is valid then assign it.
For more info on Manage Pollers have a look at the quick start guide for "Device Studio":
(That took a bit of searching! There doesn't seem to be a correlation in Solarwinds Web console for Device Studio and Manage Pollers)
So quite a bit to have a look through and if that Thwack Community poller works for your model / devices then do thank pseudocyber
I have actually found this useful myself, however I get this error message.. Any idea?
Im using A Cisco 5525-x ASA
Im going to start by trying another ASA but wondered if you knew where is best to start first.
Its on 9.4(3)11
Thank you, but I get the same error as GRANTALLENBY?
I have been having a look to see if there is an "VPN Connections" oid for 9.4. but I can't easily find one and I have no ASA's to hand.
If you have a Cisco license agreement then you can goto Cisco IOS MIB Locator and see if you can locat it that way, else you may find it easier to ask Cisco themselves.
Once located have a look at the device studio pdf to see how to change the poller or create a new poller
Hope that helps
