Monitoring Windows Servers & Backup Exec jobs

Hello,

I have access to Solarwinds with a bunch of servers on it. I'm wondering if it's possible to monitor them with a bit further in-depth detail.

So the following;

- Event logs (Anything within Event Viewer)

- Hard Disk Space

- Memory

- CPU Usage

Now, some of these servers run Backup Exec. Is there a way to monitor any backups such as failed jobs, completed jobs (with exceptions etc).

I'm not sure if Solarwinds is able to do all of this but, it'll be great if someone could point me in the right direction on achieving what I'm after.

Some Symantec Backup Exec templates are available,

You could also use the Powershell Monitor of Solarwinds and utilize the Veritas BE-CLI.
Actually I am in the middle of trying to accomplish that, however I am mostly onsite at customer's lately. If you want you could add me to your profile, you will get notified once I upload my SAM Template for Veritas BackupExec

I'd be very interested to see what this is. I haven't used Vertias BE-CLI as of yet. Whats your plan for it, will it just send commands to the CLI and output into Solarwinds?

The other things I've requested, like being able to log Systems Events is it possible?

Hi blm_me the template amarnath_r suggestes contains the "Windows Event Log Monitor" have a look at that, there you can see how System Events are monitored and processed.

So,
I'm struggling to find out what I'm required to do.
Is there a way to produce one report for all the servers within Solarwinds and have it send me an email with all the CPU/Memory/HDD usage?
Its quite hard to work out how to use this system I think.

From Manage reports, Import the template downloaded from the link and click view report.
