Couldn't register database instance in IGNITE

Hi all,

I have an issue registering my database server is IGNITE , This is not the first time , Other database server could be registered successfully.

I got an error " "Could not get JDBC Connection; nested exception is java.sql.SQLException :Network error IOException:Could not create socket "

What I should do to fix this ?

Any feedback are much appreciated

Are there any error messages in the SQL Server error logs?
Is SQL Server enabled for TCP connections?
Is the IP address/Port correct?
Is there a firewall rule blocking the connection?

If troubleshooting steps that GCP laid out don't work out, submit a support ticket.
We'll get it sorted out or at least determine why you can't connect.

No error message in SQL error log so far
Yes SQL server is enabled for TCP connection and IP address is correct .
How do I check if there is a firewall rule blocking the connection ?

You could try using telnet to check if the port is accessible (but you may not have telnet enabled by default on a Windows PC)
e.g. telnet 10.1.42.13 1433
If it connects successfully, then the port is open.

Faling that - ask your server team or whoever looks after the firewall.
