Windows Agent - Monitoring Multiple Database Instances

Hi,

Have been looking into using the Windows agent to monitor SQL databases.

We have a remote site with some local database instances. However, latency prohibits us from using the poller to gather database details from AppInsight for SQL over then WAN.

I was just wondering if you can use a Windows agent to gather stats from multiple database instances, as it might be overkill to setup an additional poller.

Have deployed an agent but from what I can see you can only monitor it, if the database is running on the machine where the agent is deployed. I am not sure they will allow us, to deploy an agent on the database server.

Any thoughts or comments?
