In working with a new Solarwinds administrator we have come up with a few questions.
*As a note, this is primarily a scenario with Cisco switches*
1. When Solarwinds polls data and stores it in the database, how does know where to store the data? Is that defined by the admin or is that defined somewhere else?
2. How can we determine where data for a specific MIB/OID is stored if it is already being collected by default?
3. Is there a way to find out what items are polled by default?
The new admin is busy so I'm trying to help him help me. Thanks for any assistance!
