I would LOVE to see the Alert module have the ability to retain a historical record for auditing purposes. Here is our requirements given by out auditors:
"...be able to positively aknowledge an alert and be able to track that alert all the way through to resolution." We must provide the documented audit trail when the auditors ask for it, thus the need for historical retention.
Currently NPM can aknowledge alerts and include a tracking # or such in a Notes field however this data is lost as soon as the alert is reset. There is the option of using the Event Logger but there is no current method of acknowledging thos or inputing free text like a tracking or Help Desk ticket number.
