Hide Blinking Red Node Down Icon

Hello,

I want to monitor all switchports on a Cisco Access switch so I can proactively troubleshoot end-user devices (interface stats and errors).  But I'm looking for a way to hide the "partial red blinking light" icon that appears when an interface reports as down on a node, beings end-user devices get unplugged all the time, but at the same time I'd like it to still blink a small red light if one of the uplink interfaces report down.

Is there a way to do this?  I tried to uncheck the "Interface Availability Statistics" checkbox next to the resource, but that did not do the trick.

Attached is an image file showing the red status light that I'm wanting to hide.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!
