    Starting to get timeout errors


      I was wondering if I could get some tips/procedures for keeping our patchmanager setup running smoothly. We've started recently experiencing timeout errors when trying to run certain tasks and I've read that it could be that the server needs a cleanup. Well I tried running one last night and also go t a timeout error. This is the error I recieved:

      Failed to cleanup the WSUS Server. Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.


      This was run on our primary WSUS server. We also have 18 downstream servers as well. Any links to a regular maintenance procedure or how to keep the server clean of expired updates, etc would be greatly appreciated. I fear we've let this go for too long and now we're seeing the problems.
