Alert for Policy Based Forwarding (PBF) change with Palo Alto firewalls

I want to setup an alert for when our Palo Alto firewalls have a PBF rule down. We have them set up to send traffic over the internet (VPN) or MPLS when the other is down. We want an alert so we know when this happens. Is anyone else doing this now or know of a way to setup an alert like this?

Configure your firewall to send all system messages to a syslog server (NPM or otherwise) or create a log filtering profile to send "PBF" type logs (subtype eq pbf) to a syslog server or NMS (snmp trap). Create a filter plan on your syslog/NMS server to alert when the message appears.

This is what we did to get PBF alerts. One for next hop down and one for up.
