Can't add Isilon OneFS v7.2.1.0 to SRM

I have the same issue with OneFS 8.0.

I set up snmp and api access for a user on the isilon, and it works for our array on 7.1.1.9, but not for the array on 8.0.

Message returned in Discovery Results is "GetNextOids query failed".

I had the same issue and opened a case with support. The answer was that SRM does not support OneFS 8.x yet. I was told to expect it in the next update to the product. Actually it seems that many other products also don't yet support v8.x because we have been looking for other options.

Jiri Cvachovec, can you confirm or deny that OneFS 8.x support is coming in the v6.4 update? Can you also give us an idea when that might be expected? I'm just asking for a next few weeks or next few months. I'm hoping it's not next year.

All I can say is that we treat this problem with priority and I ask you for patience.

I was the guy that asked for a new "What we are working on" post a while back, so yes I'm always going to be asking.

I manage so many different array vendors and models (and multiple OS/Firmware versions of each) that I'm always interested in updates across the field of supported devices.

Ill be patient...   For now.

You might be interested in SRM Orion v6.3 Hot Fix 2 is Available  .

Please let me know if the fix resolved the Isilon issue.

I've put the mentioned Hot Fix in place, but I can't add an Isilon with OneFS 8.0.

Discovery finds no targets with:

Could not load type 'SolarWinds.SRM.Isilon.Templates.CodeBehind.NodeIPAddressSetter' from assembly 'SolarWinds.SRM.Isilon.Templates, Version=6.3.0.1303, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.

In a similar cause, we found out that the credentials/account used in SRM didn't have all the required privileges on the Isilon. You need read-only access to the following:

ISI_PRIV_LOGIN_PAPI

ISI_PRIV_AUTH

ISI_PRIV_NETWORK

ISI_PRIV_NFS

ISI_PRIV_SMARTPOOLS

ISI_PRIV_SMB

ISI_PRIV_STATISTICS

Support was able to help - this all came down to HF2.  It was listed on the main SRM download and was not listed on the additional poller page.  To complicate further, the additional poller was labeled "with HF3"!  Long story short, there is no HF3, the label is wrong, the location of HF2 is confusing - but once that was applied we started getting data from OneFS 8.0.

You mean there was no HF3 on the additional poller?

Because there is HF3 for SRM: SRM Orion v6.3 Hot Fix 3 is Available
