    Scan Whole network to find running windows server 2003

      Hi Everyone,

       

      Can any one please help me for the below request.

       

      How can i find that how many windows server 2003 are running in my network through solarwind .

       

      Appreciate you prompt help on this.

          Hello,

           

          I had to do something similar once Windows 2003 went EOL.  I created a report and filtered it to output only Windows 2003 servers...the downside is, if the servers aren't in the database they would be missed. 

           

          I ended up just running a powershell script on a DC, dumped it into a CSV and then sorted it.

           

          Get-ADComputer -Filter { OperatingSystem -Like '*Windows Server*' } -Properties OperatingSystem | Select Name, OperatingSystem | | export-csv c:\list\servers.txt

           

          I know it's not exactly what you asked for, but it will get a list of server you can then sort on.  Maybe someone has some other ideas...
