Hi All, I've got 2 questions that are too technical for the customer service folks and I cannot get through to the tech support folks. I've been directed here in hopes you can answer these highly technical questions. I am attempting to find out if: Solarwinds software/devices ever need patching. If there is a way to manually discover any patches for the Solarwinds products. These questions come about from the assumption that any Solarwinds products cannot just have any patch thrown on them, but that Solarwinds must test and approve any patches for their software components.....if the preceding are true, there must be a way to manually discover these patches... Can anyone help answer these questions?

Hi All,

Solarwinds software/devices ever need patching.
If there is a way to manually discover any patches for the Solarwinds products.

These questions come about from the assumption that any Solarwinds products cannot just have any patch thrown on them, but that Solarwinds must test and approve any patches for their software components.....if the preceding are true, there must be a way to manually discover these patches...

Can anyone help answer these questions?

Yes, they do release patches. Sometimes to add new features, sometimes to fix bugs. If you login to the customer portal at Customer Portal Login | SolarWinds you should see all the products you have registered…

Yes, they do release patches. Sometimes to add new features, sometimes to fix bugs. If you login to the customer portal at Customer Portal Login | SolarWinds you should see all the products you have registered to your account and you can find product updates and hotfixes there.

Thanks, that's what I thought but without customer information they couldn't/wouldn't tell me if their product even needed patching and if it was manually discoverable. I shed a tear for the sales people who have to sell you the product before they can tell you about it. Thanks again for the assist.
