We are using Web Help Desk as a company wide help desk for all departments not just IT. Since that is the case we are looking for suggestions to help limit the tickets that technicians can see. We don't want someone from Accounting to see or search the tickets from IT. Just like we don't want a technician from facilities to see the HR tickets. Is there a method to limit who can see or search for tickets?
Yes you can limit the technicians from seeing others tickets, you need to create a tech group and assign he request types that they can see then check mark the box in the tech permissions that says "limit to assigned tech groups". In our company I created 2 tech groups and 2 tech permission so some of my techs can see all tickets and others can only see their own
