I found my interest in computers at a young age. I started with a wee 8088 (albeit outdated) moved on to a 386 then a blazing fast 486 with a SCSI hdd. I found a school close to my that provided IT degrees and completed my AS in computer and info. tech and moved on and received a BS in Technology Management with Computer and Information Technology Emphasis. I barely got my foot into the door at a major technology company out of college, moving up quickly as a senior member of their NOC/ITOC, where we used several varieties of monitoring tools. I moved from there to further my network engineering emphasis and became a full fledged network engineer. I've moved on to a few companies keeping my focus on networking, but also familiar with other systems, from VMWare, to Solaris, to Linux. I've set up monitoring solutions from scratch, from Solarwinds, to swatch, to Nagios.
