Lee McClendon is the SVP of Products for the IT Operations Management business unit at SolarWinds. He has more than 20 years of experience leading high-performing global Product, Engineering and UX teams and building large-scale software products that delight customers. He also has experience in general management roles. Lee spent the first ten years of his career as a software engineer, writing C++ code and being amazed that it was possible to earn a living doing something that was so much fun. He moved into management when he realized that helping others succeed was even more fun than coding. His hometown in Louisiana would disown him if he didn't cook jambalaya, boil crawfish and fry seafood; so he can occasionally be found whipping up a meal for his family and friends. He gets his tech fix with his personal collection of computers, his home network and his photography hobby that has led to a major case of gear acquisition syndrome.
