Re: ipMonitor 9 & Windows 2008

We are likewise solely using Windows Server 2008. It's great that you can monitor the server, however, being able to run the software from a central server is very important.  Desktops turn off frequently enough to not be viable as a monitor station.

Is there an ETA for a release?

We hope to have this available in early 2009.

Re: ipMonitor 9 & Windows 2008

Chris,

Will ipMonitor be able to run on a Win 2008 virtual machine that is part of a HyperV cluster?

Thanks

Re: ipMonitor 9 & Windows 2008

HyperV should not have any impact if ipMonitor supports Windows 2008 as a host OS, but we'll ensure we do some testing in that configuration.

Is it still planned for early 2009 for Server 2008 support. We too are moving to Server 2008 very quickly.

We are actually in testing now.  Our hope is that we might have it before 2009, but can't commit anything until we are further along in the testing cycle.

Re: ipMonitor 9 & Windows 2008

Hi, was wondering if there is support for IPmonitor on Win2008 (better yet, R2) ... the last post was dated Oct. 2008, but here we are in 2010 -- any word?

Re: ipMonitor 9 & Windows 2008

Version 10 has Server 2008 32-bit as a supported OS.  No word on R2 or 64-bit.  It would be nice to have official 64-bit OS support since that's where we're all headed anyway.

Re: ipMonitor 9 & Windows 2008

I agree ... I didn't even know v.10 was out yet, but it's good that at least it can be installed on 2008 32-bit.  Thanks for the heads-up!
