Help with Custom SNMP

Hi Jwashburn,

ipMonitor cannot interpret the response as an integer for 2 reasons:

1.  According to UCD-SNMP MIB, the value being returned for 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.8.1.101 should be a string of text, not an integer.

2. The value contains a decimal, which means it is not an Integer.

The only way around this would be to configure the Monitor to expect a string of text and then use a regular expression to interpret the text.  For example, if wanted the number to be between 0.0000 and 2.0000, you would use something like this:

^([0-1]\....|2\.0000)$

The only drawback is that ipMonitor will not record these values within the reports because they are not intergers.

I dont really need it in reports.  I need it to fire off an alert if it goes above a certain level

How would I look for anything over 500>

For a value over 500 (499) you can use:

^\d{1,2}$|^[1-4]\d\d$
