Can you use the short address in Alerts?

Can you use the "short address description" in Alerts?

Also, what about returning the threshold for drive space monitors?  These don't seem to be available tokens in the Alerts section.

Sometimes i truely believe i am an idiot. 🙂

I am running an external process to generate a ticket in our help desk environment.  Putting the 2 tokens together will allow only one to show up as the other is null.

 %monitor[addr]% %monitor[target]%

Thankyou everyone who replied to my recent posts.

You can use these tokens and the ones I mentioned in response to your previous post within alerts.

To target the configured drivespace threshold settings you would use %monitor[thold\avgmin]% and %monitor[thold\metric]%

For a list of standard tags, please see Admin guide section "Customizing Notifications Using Tokens".  But as Matt noted, the XML method described above should get you all possible tag candidates.

Thanks.

I seemed to have fixed all but 1 issue now.

An SNMP monitor uses addr and an rpc monitor uses target.  I'd like to use only 1 alert for both types.

if rpc then

monitor[addr]

else

monitor[target]

end if
