Open ticket from Mobile App

Open ticket from Mobile App

Today the iPhone app only allows you to modify existing tickets, and in a very clunky manner.  Often technicians are onsite to work on one problem and get stopped for multiple other things and they should be able to use their iPhone to open these tickets as well.

I completely agree.  We are going to be going live with our WHD implementation in a  few weeks, and have just now gotten to look into the WHD mobile client.  Its clunky for the techs, and the inability to create new tickets is not so great.  I would also like to go a little beyond that, and say that there should be a change that would allow users/clients to use the application to open, review tickets that they have opened, without using the full web site, as they currently do.  No update on the app in almost 2.5 years, I think that it is ready for one.

seems like a no-brainer

Not tried using this yet but I agree with cricket83 it is a no-brainer

I'll vote for this -- seems like a function that should have been included on Day 1 really.  Very useful for field techs.

This is what the App needs to be more useful. And native support for Windows Phone 8.

Please make this possible for Android, Windows Phone 8 oh and iPhone! While your at it make the iPhone work on and iPad!

I agree. This is one of the big gaps within webhelpdesk. A quick way for technicians on the field to record tickets on the fly. Without all the extra's. Just the requester, subject, ticket type & comments.

All the other overhead they can finish at certain times on their desk.

The mobile client needs an Asset Search. Not sure why the Client Search was implemented before an Asset Search. At least in education, we deal with device issues, and need to know what the device is. We also use WHD for our inventory, so if the mobile client had an Asset Search, that would assist us in taking an inventory (especially if we could use our iPhones as bar code scanners, ala FileMaker Pro).

I Agree too. Our company as a group of tech that are always on the field. We use handheld PDA with windows mobile and it's hard. We are now making a transition for ipad, but using the full website is complicated.
